Comprehensive Guide to Ring Sizing in Pakistan: Converting MM to US, UK, & EU Charts
Finding Your Perfect Ring Size
Every Vorial Signature ring is cut, set, and hand-crafted in our workshop only after your order is placed. Because each piece is custom-made to order, providing an accurate naap (measurement) ensures a perfect fit right from the start.
Navigating Ring Sizes in Pakistan
Pakistan does not have a single standardized ring-sizing system. Local jewellers typically measure the naap in millimetres (mm)—representing the precise inner diameter of the band—while the US, UK, and Europe rely on numerical or alphabetical scales.
- How it works: Ordering a 17mm ring means the inside opening measures exactly 17.0mm across.
- Subcontinental Scale: If a jeweller previously gave you a size on the traditional 1–30 scale, simply share it with us directly via WhatsApp rather than attempting a manual conversion.
How to Measure Your Finger
Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring (Recommended)
- Select a ring that currently fits the intended finger comfortably—snug enough not to slip off, but loose enough to slide over the knuckle.
- Place the ring flat on a ruler and measure straight across the inside edge of the band (metal edge to inner metal edge). Measuring the outside of the ring will yield a result 1 to 2mm too large.
- Read the measurement to the nearest half-millimetre.

Method 2: String or Paper Strip
- Wrap a 6mm-wide strip of paper or a piece of non-stretch thread around the base of your finger—firmly, but not overly tight.
- Mark the exact spot where the material overlaps, ensuring the formed loop can still slide over your knuckle.
- Measure the length to the mark in millimetres and divide that number by 3.14 to find the inner diameter.
- Example: A 53mm circumference wrap divided by 3.14 equals 16.9mm, which corresponds to a Vorial Signature 17mm.
Note: Avoid elastic bands or woollen threads, as stretchable materials distort measurements. For the most accurate result, measure your finger three times at different points throughout the day and use the largest reading.
Ring Size Conversion Chart (MM to US, UK, & EU)
- Reference Point: Standardized with US Size 6 measuring 16.5mm in inner diameter (each full US size adds approximately 0.81mm).
- International Standards: Circumference equals the inner diameter multiplied by $\pi$. European (EU) sizes reflect this circumference rounded to the nearest millimetre.
Vorial Signature's Millimetre Sizes
Our rings are ordered by inner diameter, so the millimetre figure is exact and the rest are conversions. For the longer explanation, read what 16MM, 17MM and 18MM actually mean.
Women’s designs are made in 16MM to 19MM, men’s in 18MM to 21MM — see men’s rings in 925 silver — so six rows of the chart above sit outside the size picker. Across the past year 16MM and 17MM have been our two most-ordered sizes: a starting guess, never a substitute for measuring. If you measure outside our range, message us before ordering.
